ABOUT MURRE GUITARS

I was just a guitar player and had never thought about building a guitar. The goal was to always buy guitars and have as many as I could possibly own. Also, I had no idea how to set up a guitar let alone build one from scratch.

A few years ago I had decided that I was going to purchase a new guitar for myself as it had been years since my last purchase. It was not a stock item, had to be ordered and was going to take up to a month or two to get delivered. While I was waiting for the guitar to arrive I did what any guitar player would do - watch as many videos on the new guitar as I could. This brought me to a video of the guitar being manufactured. I was instantly amazed at how these instruments were constructed and the amount of detail that went into them. The algorithm then decided to throw me more videos of home luthiers building guitars in their workshops and I was very interested. After watching numerous home guitar builds I had to give it a try.

What started out as my first build using laminated birch plywood for a tele style body has lead me down a path of fully constructing my own guitar designed based on two classic guitar styles.

I was pleased with the result of the first guitar I had built and then I had to build another, and another, and another! So now I have decided to share my builds with other guitar enthusiasts out there.
